1. Provider and scope
Outspoken is provided by Artesoft GmbH, Hirschengraben 20, 6003 Luzern, Switzerland (info@artesoft.ch). These terms apply to buying and using Outspoken for Mac.
2. Free trial
The trial lasts 7 days from the first launch of Outspoken on your Mac; if you installed Outspoken before licensing was introduced, the 7 days start with the first launch of the version that requires a license. The trial is free and needs no payment details. After that, dictation, transcription, the interpreter, text recognition and the AI features require a valid license.
3. Price and payment
A license costs CHF 79 per year. You pay through a PayPal subscription. It renews automatically every year at the price then applicable until you cancel it.
4. License
A license entitles you to use Outspoken on one Mac. To move to another Mac, first deactivate the license on your current Mac (Outspoken › Settings › License › “Deactivate this Mac”), then activate it on the new Mac with your license key. If your current Mac is broken, lost or stolen, you can activate the license directly on the new Mac without deactivating it first; use on the previous Mac then ends. You can move the license to another Mac at most three times within 30 days.
Outspoken confirms the license at most once a day when an internet connection is available. Without a connection, an activated license keeps working for up to 30 days; after that, Outspoken briefly needs a connection.
5. License key
After payment, you receive your license key by email at the address of your PayPal account. Keep it safe and do not share it.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel the subscription at any time: in the app, via the link in your purchase email or at getoutspoken.ai/cancel/. Your license stays valid until the end of the paid year. There are no pro-rata refunds, except under the money-back guarantee.
7. 14-day money-back guarantee
Within 14 days of your purchase, we refund the full amount, no questions asked. Just write to info@artesoft.ch. The license ends immediately with the refund.
8. Warranty
We build Outspoken with care. Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes; check important texts before you use them. We cannot guarantee that Outspoken always runs without interruption or errors. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Liability
We are only liable for intent or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law. Your data stays on your device; we are not liable for its loss, so please make regular backups. Mandatory liability, for example under product liability law, remains unaffected.
10. Privacy
How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For an active subscription, changes only apply from the next renewal, and we will let you know by email beforehand.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Lucerne. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules and statutory place of jurisdiction of your country of residence remain unaffected.
